The cards use the very same concept as snap – matching pairs, however with these cards the pairs are fractions themselves! For example, 50% can be paired with 0.50 and ¼ with 25%. Whilst drawing the cards, when two successive cards match, call Snap!
The cards can also be used to play Pairs. Simply turn all the cards upside down and turn two over to see if they match. If they match then the player keeps them, if not they’re turned them back face down. The aim is to collect all the cards.
Playing these games rapidly improves children’s confidence with fractions!
